Participants in the USA Mathematical Talent Search must be citizens or residents of the United States. (Sorry, we cannot make any exceptions to this rule.) Students in the USAMTS must not have completed high school. Middle school students are permitted to participate.
Students who wish to participate must register on the USAMTS website and provide an email address to which USAMTS correspondence may be sent. Click here to register. (If you have already registered in a past year, you do not need to register again.)
All students who participate must submit (either by Fax: 650-561-3685, or Mail: USAMTS, PO Box 1012, Menlo Park CA 94026-1012) a Entry Form for year 22 under construction, sorry! . (This form must be filled out and submitted every academic year, even if the student participated in a past year.)
Additionally, all students under the age of 13 must submit (either by Fax: 650-561-3685, or Mail: USAMTS, PO Box 1012, Menlo Park CA 94026-1012) a Permission Form for year 22 under construction, sorry!. (Please see our privacy statement for more information on why we must collect this form.)
